HR Business Partner – Fixed Term (9–12 Months) Salary: £45,000–£47,350 Location: Hybrid - Sheffield (ASK4 Ltd, Devonshire Green House)

If you’re an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives on autonomy, senior‑level influence and genuinely shaping how a business operates, this is one of those roles that doesn’t come around often.

ASK4 is a fast‑growing tech‑driven organisation, and we’re looking for someone who can partner confidently with our Senior Leadership Team, bring sharp judgement to complex people matters, and keep our HR engine running smoothly while contributing to bigger strategic projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Senior Leadership partnering — You’ll be the go‑to HR contact for a defined group of SLT members, building trusted relationships and helping them navigate people challenges with clarity and confidence.
  • Employee relations ownership — From disciplinaries to grievances to performance management, you’ll lead on all ER cases in your business areas, ensuring consistency, fairness and legal compliance.
  • Coaching & influencing — You’ll challenge constructively, guide decision‑making, and support leaders to build capability and strong team cultures.
  • Line management — You’ll directly manage our HR Ops Lead and indirectly support the wider HR Coordinator team, ensuring quality, compliance and development.
  • Policy & compliance — You’ll keep our policies sharp, up‑to‑date and aligned with legislation, and ensure SOPs are followed across the function.
  • Project work — From M&A due diligence to integration planning, you’ll support the Head of HR on strategic initiatives that shape the future of ASK4.

What You Bring

  • Strong generalist HR background with hands‑on experience managing complex ER cases.
  • Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing at Director level.
  • Solid working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 preferred).
  • Commercial awareness, analytical thinking and sound judgement.
  • Experience developing others and maintaining high operational standards.
  • Ability to work at pace across multiple priorities in a changing environment.

Desirable: M&A experience (TUPE/integration), multi‑jurisdiction HR exposure, additional European languages.

Why This Role Matters

You’re stepping into a position with real impact. As the HR Business Partner, you’ll shape how leaders think about people, how teams grow, and how the business navigates change. You’ll have the freedom to operate independently, the support of a strong Head of HR, and the chance to influence both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term strategy.
