Working within the Commercial Finance Team, you’ll be responsible for delivering forward-looking analysis, insightful reporting, and robust financial forecasts. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on analysis, helping to bring clarity to business performance and supporting a wide range of commercial initiatives. As the company approaches a key milestone, ASK4 is seeking a commercially minded individual to help shape the business strategically, with a focus on maximising value for shareholders. It’s a high-impact role in a fast paced, dynamic environment ideal for someone eager to make a meaningful difference.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the coordination of the Group’s annual budgeting and mid year reforecasting processes, including managing timelines, stakeholder engagement, and delivering clear, insightful presentations.
  • Enhance and maintain financial planning tools, leading the integration of the Anaplan platform into core planning and reporting processes.
  • Maintenance of a risks and opportunities schedule to support ongoing performance visibility and decision making outside formal forecast cycles.
  • Produce financial forecasts, including analysis of banking covenant compliance and headroom to support strategic financial planning.
  • Deliver insightful monthly performance reports and dashboards, leveraging and evolving existing KPI reporting to support business understanding.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis on revenue, cost, and margin performance, identifying key performance drivers and recommending corrective actions.
  • Partner with senior operational and commercial teams as a trusted advisor, translating financial data into strategic insights and business opportunities.
  • Provide financial leadership across cross functional initiatives, contributing to strategic projects and supporting growth, efficiency, and profitability objectives.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of: 

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA), with a strong grounding in core accounting principles.
  • Professional services environment, not necessarily in Commercial Finance and/or FP&A, but with highly transferable skills ideally from within a fast-paced and complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting and forecasting across both P&L and cash flow, with the ability to drive planning processes.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills (Anaplan experience beneficial)
  • Strong analytical mindset, intellectually curious, and confident in delivering actionable insights from complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly summarise and present financial information to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute and strategically minded, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for business improvement.
  • Organised and adaptable, capable of balancing structure with agility to respond to shifting business priorities.
